Piekenierskloof Chenin Blanc:


 

In The Vineyard
Grapes are sourced from vineyards predominantly in the Piekenierskloof region. These are bush vineyards and grow on koffieklip and sandy loam soils. Vineyards are planted in 1987. Vineyard are meticulously farmed and yields are managed down to below 7 tons per hectare.

Tasting Note
Upfront pears drops, pawpaw with juicy tropical summer melon on the palate. Nice mouth filling with hints of mango on a great fresh and crisp finish.

Piekenierskloof Bergendal Chenin Blanc:


 

In The Vineyard
Grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region.Vineyards are planted in1962. These vineyards are all bush vines and grow on sandy, loam soils. The vineyards are meticulously farmed and managed to yield below 3-4 tons per hectare.

Tasting Note
Beautiful white blossoms, tropical fruit with hints of vanilla on the palate. Rich, full and creamy with a well-balanced mid palate and elegant apricot that lingers on the finish.

Grenache Blanc:


 

In The Vineyard
Grapes are sourced from vineyards predominantly in the Piekenierskloof region. These are bush vineyards and grow on koffieklip and sandy loam soils. Vineyards are planted in 1987. Vineyard are meticulously farmed and yields were down to 3 tons per hectare because of a very dry year. Harversting took place middle to end of February.

Tasting Note
A wine with fresh citrus aromas with lots of green apple and a herbaceous finish. The wine has a fresh but full and smooth mouth feel with a crisp finish.

Grapes are sourced from the Piekenierskloof region. Vineyards are planted in 1968. These vineyards are all bush vines and grow on sandy, loam soils. The vineyards are meticulously farmed and managed to yield below 4 tons per hectare.

Grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region. Vineyards are planted in 1973. These vineyards are all unirrigated bush vines and grow on sandy, loam soils. The vineyards are meticulously farmed and managed to yield below 5 tons per hectare

Grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region. Vineyards are planted in ( Chenin Blanc 1962). Grenach Blanc 1994 and Chardonnay in 1998. These vineyards are all bush vines and grow on sandy, loam soils. The vineyards are meticulously farmed and managed to yield below 5 tons per hectare.

Tasting Note
Complex with layers of tropical fruit, stone fruit, peach and white pears on the palate with notes of citrus.

Top (Heirloom) Red:


 

In The Vineyard
Grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region. These vineyards are all bush vines and grow on sandy, loam soils. The vineyards are meticulously farmed and managed to yield below 5 tons per hectare and hand harvested in March 2015 at a balling of 26.

Tasting Note
Showing beautiful sour cherries, ripe currants, aniseed with notes of white pepper, vanilla pod, forest floor and tea leaf. Complex, medium bodied and layered blend with smooth well integrated tannin structure. Well rounded with a long elegant finish on aftertaste.

Straw Wine 375ml:


 

In The Vineyard
The grapes for the Piekenierskloof Straw Wine comes from a Muscat de Frontignan vineyard that was planted in 1962. These vines are all bush vine trained and grow on clay -loam soils. The vineyards are meticulously farmed and managed to yield below 2 tons per hectare. The grapes were hand harvested into small lug boxes in March 2017.

Tasting Note
The nose is concentrated with notes of peach and dried apricot, a touch of spice and honey suckle
